It took some cranking to get it started and ran a little rough when it did start up. Its a 2 cycle so it sounds like a weed wacker. But it did smooth out after running for a while and now it starts on the first pull. It seems a bit loud when you are right up on it, but when you walk 50 or so feet away, its just a humm...pretty nice little generator and it does put out good power and revs itself up when you apply an electrical load. i didn't get exactly what was pictured, the one I got did not have the tubular frame around it, but a carry handle to install ontop of the gas tank. I am happy with it just the same though. I know engines pretty good, so make sure you follow the instructions and use a rich fuel/oil mixture (30:1) to break it in for at least the first five gallons of gas, then reduce to a 50:1 ratio mix. This will make the engine run smoother, longer. Its a good one for the money, I bought it for my travel trailer and it runs everything. Im happy with it.

1000 watt Generator,what will it run?
Will it run a small furnace in a mobile home?Will it run the refrigerator?Can we plug the tv into it or will it cause problems?Or should I buy a bigger one?I mean,we can run the furnace until we are warm,then run the frig,then the lights.Im not sure.

A 1,000 watt generator will supply approximately 8 amps of current at 120 volts. This will only operate a couple of small items. This will not operate your furnace or refrigerator, but it will operate your TV and possible a couple of lamps.

Where can i get parts for a 1000 watt portable generator sold at Heartland, Finger Hut and Northern Tool?
Most likely NOT. 1000Watts equates to 8.33amps at 120Vac.
Each band member’s amp draws about 2 -3amps plus the mic.
You should double this, 2000 – 2500watts to properly handle the load.
The last thing you want is to hit a power surge only to shut down the band. You’ll probably get booed off the stage.
Will a 1000 watt generator power a 4 piece bands amplifiers?

Based on the site below and others I don’t think you can produce 1000 watts except for a very short time as best.
As to revolutions per minute. That is determined by the frequency you wish to produce if you want AC power. Otherwise it is strictly dependent on the specific generator you use.

or put it this way, if I wanted to generate 1000 watts, how many rpms would I have to spin? theoretically speaking, say I built a bicycle & connected it to a 1000 watt generator, without the motor, how many revolutions per minute would be needed to accomplish this? thanks, and by the way, its not really a bicycle, more like a contraption.
ok, say a 1000 watt generator has a B & S 8 or 10 hp motor, not sure which one, or whatever company, tecumseh or honda, it doesn’t matter, generally how many rpms is it spinning to produce this much power constantly? thanks again
Why does my 13 inch color TV emit smoke when hooked to my 1000 watt portable generator?
My understanding is that my TV is rated somewhere between 3 and 4 amps. My 1000 Watt generator produces a little over 8 amps. Yet my TV (2 different ones) have smoked when hooked up. Here’s the sequence of events:
1) Start generator, let warm up for 5 minutes
2) Plug TV into AC outlet of generator (no other items plugged in, only TV).
3) Turn TV on. Picture apprears for couple mins, then the screen goes dark and smoke comes out the back of the TV.
4) Turn generator off.
5) Then, to see if TV is still working, plug TV into regular household outlet and it works – no smoke.
What’s happening? Theoretically the generator should have enough power to make the TV operate. Help! Can’t have another weekend with no TV in the fish house.
You fried the TV. I’m surprised it still works in your house after that.
Make sure the plugs on the generator are set to the proper voltage and all that. For the US that would be 120V, 60Hz. Some generators can also power larger appliances – like an electric oven in your house – but these use 240V and 120Hz.
