define solar energy - The most important form of renewable energy

Author: wouter wiggen

Define solar energy is the most important form of renewable energy. Sun is visible in 3/4th of the earth for 12 months a year. The whole of our planet is survived with the help of sunlight only. If there is no sun we won't be able to survive. It is the greatest source of energy and we all know that plants are surviving because of sun. We have to learn from plants to harness this energy for our better use.

There are no ill-effects of define solar energy and it is clean and the best part it is that it is for free. It does not in any way contribute to the global warming. Once you have all the equipment that are needed for installing solar power you will be able to use this form of energy for your homes.

The governments from all over the world are trying to lower the cost of solar energy so that there are more users of solar power. You can install any on of the three solar energy systems in your home or if you want all the three systems of solar energy power. The three types of solar energy that are being used are the passive solar energy, photovoltaic solar energy, and solar domestic hot water systems

Passive define solar energy has been used by mankind through ages and now also we are using. We make east facing house so that we get the maximum sunlight during the morning in the front of the house and in the afternoon the back of the house get full sunlight. We dry clothes in a dry-line in our backyard. All these are passive uses of solar energy.

Wait I know because me and my son just did this for his 6th grade homework. 3 Renewable sources of energy are solor, wind and water. 3 Non-renewable sources are oil, coal and natrual gas. Non-renewable sources come out of the ground. Renewable sources can be replenished in a short period of time.

easy. oil and gas are not infinite therefore they are nonrenewable and diminish and decrease in volume after consumption. renewable is the opposite and is pretty much infinite and the resource amount is much greater and diminishes less than the opposing non renewable energy source. renewable energy source examples are ones such as electricity, hydro-electric, solar energy, and wind turbines are just a few. i find this quite interesting and if you’re using this as a last minute homework assignment i really hope you learned something from this instead of plagiarizing my answer LOL :D

Renewable energy resource: an energy resource that is replaced rapidly by natural processes. Some examples of renewable energy resources are sunlight, hydropower (water falling through a dam), and wood.

Bio- Mass is defined as is the mass per unit area of living plant material.

Hydro Power- Is the power that is derived from the weight or motion of water, used as a force to drive machinery.

Solar energy- is energy from the Sun in the form of radiated heat and light.

Renewable = powered by the sun in our current time period. Examples are windmills, hydroelectric, solar cells, wood, corn, ocean waves, etc.

Non-renewable = energy created long ago and not replaced. Examples are coal, oil, uranium.

Please Define renewable & nonrenewable sources of energy. Name 3 different sources for each.?
I’m having trouble understanding the difference.

Is it still renewable if it takes a matter of millions of years?

  7. Parveen K says:

    a) Define renewable and non-renewable resources?
    b) Describe in detail non-conventional renewable sources of energy available to us.

  8. ivan says:

How can we define energy resources ?
i want to know the meaning of energy resouces& also it’s type like-(1) renewable resources like- (a) bio mass( b) hydro power(c) solar energy (d) wind energy (e) ocean energy (f) geothermal energy, (2)non-renewable resources like- (a) fossil fuels

  9. ivan says:

    define non-renewable resources?
such as (a) fossil fuels- coals, petroleum, natural gas (b) nuclear energy

  10. Mels. says:

define between renewable and nonrenewable source of energy?
