while generac was acquired by briggs and stratton, they have more or less kept the same product line.
i have given you a review, see if you like it.
Operation: Quite simple to operate. Easy to fill. If you accidentally spill a little fuel it doesn’t end up over the control panel or the muffler. Has an hour meter which is very handy. options for Comes with 25-foot extension cord for the 30 Amp circuit.
PORTABILITY: Heavy but easy to roll and maneuver. One person can easily lift one side to maneuver over a curb.
Easy to assemble. All you have to do is add the wheels, add oil, add fuel. The fold-down handles are VERY solid and just a really nice feature.
NOISE:You are not going to have long conversations around it but it’s supposed to be.
FUEL EFFICIENCY: Customers are known to run a 1,500 watt heater, a TV/satellite receiver, two notebook computers, a wireless Ethernet router, a satellite modem, a 300 watt light, a 150 watt light, a 250 watt infrared lamp, a livestock heated water bucket and a heated water dish and heated blanket for the barn cat and large GE fridge all together without any issues.

I believe there was one in Pasadena CA called J & S surplus who puts out a catalog with such a switch listed but I don’t seem to be able to find my catalog. Sorry
You can get a manual for the generator at Generac’s web site. Take a look at the wiring diagram to assist while troubleshooting.

Depending on the model, there may be a regulator board inside the electrical panel which may have failed, you may need replacement brushes, or you may need to flash the field coil.

Generator head for Generac?
I am looking for a generator head to fit a generac 7000/12250 surge portable generator. I understand that the tapered shaft on the engine is some weird size that a aftermarket head won’t work. Is there a special taper coupling that will join a taper shaft to a straight shaft? Thanks for your help.
Generac Generator runs but produces NO POWER?

Runs perfectly fine but will not produce electricity. My father said that he believes that he overloaded it. We have looked for fuses/breakers etc… but all seem to be good. Where is the next place to look?

We have checked the Breakers/connections etc…
You get about 3 volts at the 110 outlet. Sounds like the brush holders may be the next place to look.
Like I said, all of the electrical is fine, it has to be aomething inside…
Generac 5000 portable gasoline home generator question?
Gasoline engine: How do you adjust the choke linkage (nut-bolt spring linkage) and needle valve carburetor (screw-spring) for optimal performance ?
The settings were moved and everything seems okay. Just wondered if there is a set up proceedure for optimum performance ?
I’ve occasionally seen used Generac parts such as this on eBay.
