    How can I use magnet to create a small power generator to do small tasks like powering a small light?

    Can the amount of electricity produced by a generator be increased by increasing the strength of the magnets?
    This would be relation to a wind generator for instance. If magnets with 100 lb pull force were used instead of 10 lb pull force, would more electricity be generated in the coils?

    What generates more electricity, a single strong magnet spinning around a bunch of small coils, or multiple magnets spinning around a large coil?

    Do the magnets in a generator have to run across the coils in the same direction always or can they swing ?
    My Mother is building a homemade generator. She wants to make the magnets slide back and forth above the coils. Her question really is “can electricity be generated this way, or does the back and forth cancel out any potential power”?

    first you need magnetic wire. coil this arround a iron core and rotate it inside the magnet.

    the science principle is to move/ agitate the electrons to move in one directions. electrons are negatively charge. does by alternating the positive and negatve poles of the magnet it will push or pull the electrons. the faster you do this you’ll produce a current off electron flow.

    for your science project get a wheel. coil the magnetic wire perpendiculat to the wheel or parallel to its axel with booth ends strip from its coating. place a terminal that touches the strip wire and connect this terminal to a load/ a light bulb. place the magnet near the wheel and turn the wheel!

    there you have it your small generator! :) )

    Electricity can be generated that way.

    Those flashlights that you shake (to charge the internal battery) work the same way.

    It’s not a very efficient way to generate and manage power, but it will work.

    F = BAin

    B = magnet strength

    A = area of coils

    n = number of loops of coil

    Only if the additional drag caused by the increased magnetic force did not slow the generator proportionately. Stronger magnets could be expected to have an increased resistance to the rotation of the propeller or vanes. In an extreme, the additional field could prevent the generator from turning at all.

    So, you would first need to determine the effect of the additional drag to answer the question.

    Gear reduction would increase the leverage of the vanes and thereby increase how much torque would be available to turn the generator. However, this would slow the generator proportionately.

    At first blush, the answer would most likely be “Yes”, but you may not be justified in expecting a voltage increase in direct proportion to the increase in magnetic field strength.

    electromagnets are mostly used in generators.we can use normal magnets but the power we can produce is very feeble.thats why we r using e.m to increase the output(power).
