Where should I apply for a chemical engineering major?
My current credentials are:
-3.8 unweighted GPA (4.3 weighted)
-33 ACT composite (I am taking it again and expect a 34 or 35. This time I will actually study)
-34 math
-32 science
-30 reading
-34 writing
-National Honor Society President
-I’m conducting research on the uses of magnetism (right now I’m making a purely magnetic motor, i.e. approaching perpetual motion)

-total of 7 AP courses (almost all other courses were honors)

-Writer for school publication
-Speak English, Spanish, and decent Chinese (I am continuing to take Chinese classes)

As a bonus, I lived in Argentina for four years and Beijing, China for five years. In China, I attended one of the best international schools worldwide and maintained a 3.5 GPA there unweighted my freshman year.
I will be applying to college as unranked because I switched schools through high school. My first school was much more difficult than the second, giving me a much lower average gpa than I would have at only my current school. With only my grades at my current school, I am 5th or so of 300.
Where is free energy? Magnetic motors, hydrogen motors, perpetual motion generators?
Why is it not on the shelves or in ebay catalogs?
Are there any laws or embargoes restricting me from purchasing a foreign generator to power my home?
I’m interested in either the Perendev Magnetic Motor from Germany, or the Lutec Perpetual Motion Generator from Australia. I live in the USA. Are there any import or export laws that would prevent me from purchasing one and attaching it to my home?
Perpetual motion machine?
First of all, I know that friction resistance makes the following apparatus not perpetual motion. But I need to make it as close as possible to perpetual for a physics project.
So here’s what I have:
A 6″ cart has a hole in the middle of it lengthwise. There is a coil of copper wire going around that hole. The cart is suspended by magnets on a circular track that has been heavily magnetized. Also inside the cart is a small electric toy motor and a wheel that protrudes from the side of the cart. Inside of the larger magnetized track is a small, non-magnetized track that the wheel can use to propel the cart around the track. If I give the cart an initial push, would I get enough voltage and power from magnetic induction to run the electric motor? The motor is made to be run with a AA battery with 1.5 volts.
Would this work, and how can I optimize this so I could get it to run by itself for as long as possible?

A: It isnt true…
…because they were unaware that it was drawing power from somewhere else
…because they wanted to be famous for being on TV and decieved people
…because they wanted people to invest a lot of money to get rich on nothing
B: It is true and…
…it is still being processed before being released
…power companies bought the patent and locked it up so it can’t be produced

This kind of stuff is still not mass marketed mainly because of skepticism around the world, I have personally found magnetic energy generators to be the best option for alternative energy.
They require no light, no wind or grid electric to even start, and once they are working they don’t stop for years to come.
Many people are unaware that you can easily build your own magnetic energy generator from common easy to find parts.
It’s a shame more people don’t build magnetic energy generators as a device like this could rid us all of the current energy crisis.

I see what you are trying to do, and as an experiment, it could be instructive. But …well, while I do not want to be a kill-joy, there is a problem with the design.
No matter how perfect the design, you will always lose a little efficiency in the generation of the electricity: you will get friction, eddy currents, heat and so forth. And so, not even considering the loss of energy in the driving motor, or the loss to air resistance or friction, you will always lose energy in the process of converting kinetic energy to electrical energy.
You are using kinetic energy to power the generator, and that energy is coming from the momentum of the car. That means that the generator itself will reduce the momentum / speed of the car. And it will not produce enough energy to ‘replace’ that momentum.
The reality is that your most efficient design would be to omit the generator – motor concept entirely.
Supporting the car on a magnetic field, however, can be a very effective way of minimizing friction.
