2012 Magnetic Pole Reversal?

Author: Ernie Fitzpatrick

The facts that I have learned about our planet and solar system as a result of 2012 are way beyond what I bargained for. For example, a magnetic pole reversal is simply the switching out of North and South Poles while a POLE SHIFT  is a movement in the molten lava core of our planet that actually shifts the earth's axis of rotation. And armed with that information I doubt I could get anyone to engage me in conversation over a cup of coffee.

Let me move into what appears to me to be a little bit of a DOUBLE JEOPARDY regarding 2012 and all of this.

There are two things that we've come to validate. A magnetic pole reversal happens first of all when there has been a sustained reduction in the earth's magnetic strength. And guess what? We're seeing that happen. Just over the last 150 years the earth's magnetic strength has dropped by 10%. It will have to speed up over the next three years, but no one is saying it can't, nor won't.

Secondly, is the increased energy coming from the sun. Enough energy emanating from increased sun spot activity can greatly destabilize the magnetic field: a field that is already on the ropes: borrowing from a boxing metaphor. The potential 30-50% increase in sun spot activity that's predicted for 2012 does not bode well for planet earth.

This potential double jeopardy is more than a possibility. It's a matter of intensity.

Finally then, what would be the result of a magnetic pole reversal since none of us have lived through one? Speculations from those who have far more insight and scientific information than I would say: tidal waves, tectonic plate shift, numerous earthquakes, major flooding, and a plethora of volcanic eruptions. Need we say more? Life as we know it would be over, gone, done with, and history!

And our poor feathered friends would be showing up in places they'd never before visited.  :-)

Needless to say, the North pole is already moving. Many think that we can thank the December 26, 2004 earthquake and tsunami for that. the North pole has moved from Northern Canada and is heading toward Siberia. I suppose the Russians will now claim ownership to that too! Stuff that we've never ever before experienced is happening. Who would have thought that the 12-26-2004 earthquake would alter the shape of the earth and jar the planet into a slightly different axis of rotation.

How does seafloor spreading isoptic dating of rocks and magnetic pole reversals support plate tectonics theory
Explain how seafloor spreading, isotopic dating of rocks, and magnetic pole reversals all give supporting evidence to the plate tectonics theory.
I REALLY NEED HELP THANKS :)

Does the weakening of the magnetic field on Earth effect plate tectonics?
The geomagnetic poles reverse every 200K years or so. I was wondering if there was a study that theorizes what effect these periodic reversals have on plate tectonics, if any.

How do I remove the magnetic L plate from my car without damaging the paint?
My sister left her Magnetic L plate on the hood of my car which then sat in the sun for a week. It’s now very stuck and I don’t know how to get it off without risking ripping paint off of the hood. Got any tricks for me to try? Preferably ones that have been proved safe for the paint lol. Thankyou!

How can I remove magnetic plate off car bonnet? Vinyl layers are left.?
Magnetic plate has melted onto car bonnet.

what will be the thickness of super conductor plate required to arrest the magnetic field,if high power magnet?
i have a high power magnet(single).i placed one super conductorin (plate shape)near the magnet.now i don’t want to pass the magnetic power through the super conductor.what will be the thickness of super conductor required.or number of plates to become a thick plate.
is it possible to arrest magnetic field completely by super conductors and with shielding material.i want to stop magnetic field completely for my process.is there any way with super conductors

As long as you don’t slide the plate it won’t scratch paint off.

    Simply roll up towel tight,
Place it next to plate on the narrow end,

use rolled up towel as a fulcrum,
and rest flat stick of wood on towel and insert under end of plate.

Before prying, place a folded towel under edge of other end of plate.
and under free end of stick so it doesn’t hit the paint if it slips.

Push down on stick, and the other end of stick will raise the plate up.
Place another folded towel under magnets that are raised.

Now stand the plate up vertically with both hands as the folded towel under
the edge at the other end protects the plate from touching the paint as it pivots up.

The small marks left from magnets is normal paint compression by high powered magnets.

This is easy to deal with.
Let the sun warm this area on it’s own, or use with caution a heat gun or hairdryer.
The paint will level out on it’s own.

    Small marks may need/
A pro-series car buffer, and it will buff out fine.

Do put plate w/magnets in safe place away from electronics.
Place folded towel under plate to prevent it from sticking hard to file cabinet for safe storage.

    Cheers

Either wait for a hot sunny day or use a hair blow drier and get it hot then try to peel it off.

if the super conductor can withstand a magnetic field the thickness of the super-conductor can be very thin. However, many superconductors can only reject a sufficiently weak magnetic field and no shielding will result if the magnet is too close to the shield.

Nope, the magnetic field is from the spinning liquid metal (mainly Iron) in the outer core. PT is from crustal/mantle interactions and density contrasts.

  10. Anonymous says:

Sea Floor Spreading Evidence- age of land and seamounts are youngest closest to a divergeant boundary. Magnetic anomalies are the same on both sides of the boundary.

Isopotic Dating- allows geologists to correlate rocks based on radioactive isotopes present. The ratio of radiogenic daughter isotopes to the unstable parent isotope determin how long the parent has been incorporated in that mineral.

Magnetic Pole Reversals-a thing called remanent magnetism is a component of a rock. when the rock formed it shows where the earth’s magnetic field was at the time. Measurement of the orientation by inclination angle (latitude) and declination angle (longitute) gives clues to the paleolatitude of the sample when formed.
