Magnets Are A Very Important Part Of Our Lives
Do you remember as a child ever being fascinated by magnets? Such a simple thing yet complicated. They were fun to play with but, you couldnt help but wonder how and why they worked.
The first magnet compass was discovered by the Chinese around 200B.C. Fortune tellers enjoyed using it at first, but eventually people realized it was a means of direction. The first magnets were made of iron. The magnets of today are made from alloy. These contain metals such as nickel, iron, copper, and cobalt aluminum.
There is even such a thing as induced magnetism. This happens when a piece of unmagnetized magnetic material comes in contact with the pole of a permanent magnet.
When this happens, the material becomes magnetized and you have a new magnet.
Actually magnets are a very important part of our lives. Many items that we use everyday would not exist without them. Items such as radios, television, speakers, toys, and quite a variety of games are made with magnets. They are all around us and used in so many different ways. Magnets come in a variety of different shapes and sizes. It is interesting to think that something that may have fascinated you as a child could be even more exciting as you learn more about them.

If the logic “energy cannot be created, nor destroyed only transfered” is true; where do magnets get their energy from?
For example if you suspend a silver ball with a magnet in theory it would stay attached forever. or would the magnet eventually run out of energy?

I heard that my friends friend said he was making speakers, he is in the speaker business for years and years, Im not sure if hes telling the truth, but he was making a speaker and i guess this speaker can generate eletricity off nothing? I dont know.

A magnet gains it energy when it is charged. For example, for an electromagnet to work, it needs to be powered. Some magnets are “soft magnets”, which lose their charge. Some are “hard magnets” which don’t lose their charge. I think most magnets are soft magnets, so would need a continued flow of energy to keep something in place.
Is it possible to create free energy using just Magnets?
There are many websites on internet which claim that energy can be generated for free using some simple magnets. Are they telling the truth?
I am myself an electrical engineer and I don’t think it is possible in this way but they have shown some videos which seem incredibly correct!

I have a 12 volt dc motor that i would like to use on a windmill for a generator, it has 2 permanent magnets, if i cut the magnets in halves so that the motor has 4 magnets will the motor generate 12 volts at a lower speed?
