Power 4 Home Scam – Is John Russel Power4Home The Real Deal?

Author: Will Yap

One of the most popular home solar and wind power guide on the internet is John Russel’s Power 4 Home e-book. Even with hundreds of copy sold each and every month, many people are still not convinced by what the manual preaches.

It is understandable many people think Power 4 Home is nothing but a scam. Are there any ways to prove the legitimacy of the e-book? One way is to check the accurate of the information.

If you were to study the Power4Home sales page, it promised that you can build a DIY solar panel for less than 0. Can it be done or is it just a scam?

If a normal person were to follow the instructions in the manual and managed to build a solar module for less than 0, that would prove that the e-book is legit.

Then again, if a person is unable to meet the budget after following the instruction, wouldn’t that prove Power 4 Home is a fraud?

The key here is to double check the figure.

In Power 4 Home, the budget suggested for a DIY solar panel is .20. The largest material cost is the Photovoltaic (PV) cells which is .50.

The solar panel shown in John Russel’s e-book consists of 36 pieces of 3” x 6” solar cells. To find cheap solar cells, Power4Home suggests for us to search in Ebay.

If you really want to know whether Power 4 Home is a scam, just go to Ebay now and search for solar cells listing. If you can find 36 pieces of PV cells selling for less than .50, it will prove the accuracy of the figures in the manual. With that, you will be able to make your own conclusion.

I’ve used some of the predecessors to this amp in a couple of monitor rigs before.

In short, they’re OK. The thing to remember is that power amps like this are engineered for to be rugged first, and then pack as much power into as few rack spaces as possible. Fidelity is a little further down the list.

The other thing that you need to be aware of is that power amps like this are designed to take a relatively large input signal from a console, EQ, system drive, etc. That’s typically +4 to +10dBm. Most home stereo equipment outputs -10dBm, so you’re not going to get optimum signal to noise ratio with this kind of mismatch.

Finally, if it has a fan in it, that could be a potential annoyance.

The Peavey would work, but I would look more to power amps made for studio applications. On the budget end, Behringer and Alesis make some pretty good amps for this purpose. They’re not as much power, but they’re convection cooled so that takes the fan out of the equation.

If you’re just looking for power, I’ve always found the Peavey’s a very good value if you look at cost per watt.

    Greetings from Austin,

    Ken

    No.

    1. There are existing laws for immigration. They should be followed. There’s no need for reform, nor need for your absurd proposition.

    2. Completely unconstitutional.

    3. How about eliminating lobbysts all together. Their groveling is sickening and any politician that has even the smallest association with lobbysts should be removed from office.

    4. The President is the leader of the armed forces. The powers that have been recently been given to the President are illegal and unconstitutional. A better one would be to have Congress do their job of representing the people – something they’re not doing; the Executive branch should be stripped of powers that are not allowed to it by the Constitution, and the Judicial branch should stop creating legislation because that is not their function. The checks and balances system! Remember? The checks and balances is not to protect the government… it’s to protect the people from the government.

5/6 Welfare and Social Security should be abolished altogher. Everyone should be free to pursue their own well-being and not count on government handouts.
