Home made power generator?
I am curious why no one has simply taken an electric motor and used it to spin 10 or 15 alternators. There for creating enough energy to run the motor and using the excess to run a car or a house? Is this so simple no one has thought of it? Or, is there an issue with this idea that I am missing?
The idea I have is you would use an electric generator and a power source for the initial first few minutes of motor operation. After that the power created by the alternators would sustain any operation of the electronic motor after that point. Kind of like perpetual motion.

i am unable identify whether the source of power at home is through the generator or through main power line.
This can be done but you will need an electrician to do it for you. If you have commercial power and a generator for backup power, the generator needs to know when the commercial power goes away. It can’t just sense your power because as soon as the generator starts you have power again. There has to be some isolation as you can see. Just run a signal wire from the generator power fail system that drives an indicator in your home. I hope this isn’t too basic for you. Not trying to insult but I don’t know your knowledge level.
If you suspect the air filter is plugged simply remove it temporarily and see what happens. If the engine runs properly with the filter removed you should get a new filter. You should also change the oil after every 25 hours of running time.
Next check the output voltage and frequency at no load. A Kill-A-Watt meter is useful for this. The engine must be operating at 3600RPM in order to produce 60Hz electricity. A lower engine speed will also cause the output voltage to drop.
If the engine speed drops under load you may have to check the speed governing system. Low engine speed will cause low output voltage and frequency.
If the engine speed remains constant under load the generator needs to be checked. Open the end of the generator and check the diodes on the end of the rotor. There may also be a pair of varistors in parallel with the diodes. These parts may need to be replaced. There is an AC capacitor in there as well. Sometimes the capacitor value will drop considerably when it fails. Remove and have it tested.

Portable Home Generator Problem : Peak Power 2800 W, Rated Power 2500 W. Generator is not bearing the load as it was bearing previously. I have it for about 5.5months now. But now its not bearing the load of 1 H. P motor as i start the motor it shuts off completely and i have to restart it again by keeping the motor off.
Whats the problem ? How to resolve ? Any problem regarding Air Filter, Spark Plug etc. Because i didnt clean the air filter for about a month or little so and the generator is on the open roof of the house and it runs for about 3 hours or 3.5 hours a day.
