As the name suggest, it is renewable. it means that it can be used again and again but it will not last like coal and petroleum. for example, excess use of solar energy, wind energy will not reduce their stock and is always available forever.
How does renewable energy help our future?
Anything that can be used to make heat or electricity without unsustainable fuels and which does not make a net contribution of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. This includes wind power, waves and the tides, solar energy, geothermal energy and biomass. Nuclear power, although it is low-carbon, cannot be counted as a renewable source of energy because its fuel, uranium, is finite.

I talk about wind, solar, and geothermal energy viability as well as the current non-renewable energy sources; what you’ve asked is a huge question, one that encompasses nuclear, coal, and renewable energy (and no, nuclear is NOT a renewable source of energy, despite what PR campaigns and others may say – it’s a mined resource that takes millions of years to create so it would fall in the say realm of coal and oil. Thor missed one renewable; Biomass
So biomass is usually woody debri that is ground up and buned in large plant that creates electricity. I am in the Tahoe area small trees are are chipped and used for biomass, by doing this we prevent or slow catastrauphic wildfires. The trees themselves store the energy while growing and it is renewable.
I’m a lumberjack that supplies biomass to a local power plant.
How does energy storage affect the future of renewable energy?
Renewable Energy is not limited to choice, options, source, or vision.
In fact it drives a wider perspective known as Sustainability.
Simply explained, Sustainability requires an orchestrated style of living across the world to ensure the present activities of nations do not harm or deny global peace and the resources like energy, food, water and clean environment for present and future generations. All for a simple reason: resources on our planet are limited, and harsh practises be it war mongering or just reckless consumption will bounce back on all of us !
Part of Sustainability demands switching to Renewable Energy.
Renewable Energy sources are a matter of availability and technology. There are abundant options contrary to propaganda that Renewable Energy requires advanced technology.
Anywhere in the world, you either have lots of sun, lots of wind, lots of rain, ocean access or combinations of them. Choice is driven by economy.
There is abundant low tech Renewable Energy that can be tapped by utilising existing unused facilities everywhere.
As for advanced technology, Hydrogen will be the future path. Whether as substitute for petrol in cars, or as Fuel cells to generate electricity, or as Fusion. Water will be the source of Hydrogen.
There is however, a snag.
If Global Warming becomes irreversible, we might not have the opportunity to correct our deeds !

yea renewable job …would be greate for mechnical and elecrical degrees
But another area to think of is environmental engineering….huge job promise in this area…for the future
