Seakinetics Corporation Moves Aggressively to Capture Renewable Energy Opportunities in India
Author: Market Wire
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 28, 2009) - Seakinetics Corporation (www.seakinetics.org) management announced today that under the guidance of its Chief Technology Officer, Jack Dhaliwal, the Company is moving proactively to target renewable energy opportunities in India.Over the past two years Mr. Dhaliwal has been actively engaged in conducting feasibility studies on the ground in India. The investment in these studies, costing in excess of USD0,000, have clearly identified India as a prime target to implement its renewable energy technology. In addition, these studies have enabled management to assess the opportunities and understand all of the Geo-Political conditions that exist in India which could affect our potential wind energy investments in various Indian states. During the course of the studies, Mr. Dhaliwal reviewed and assessed approximately 15 potential wind farm sites before deciding on the Tamil Nadu region.
"As a result of the completion of these feasibility studies we believe we have a head start in being able to take advantage of the incentives which will result from the Indian government's planned investment of more than $USD 500 billion in infrastructure improvements," says James C. Shelley, President and CEO of Seakinetics.
Jack Dhaliwal, explains that "The geo-political and economic elements that will drive the renewable energy business over the next few decades underscore the importance of India as a burgeoning market for renewable energy services and power. In spite of aggressively tackling the energy deficit for its population, India still suffers from a 47% deficiency in power supply. India is developing an international reputation as a "go to" region for moderate to mega-sized investments in renewable energy development projects."
Mr. Dhaliwal further stated, "When we initially embarked on the Tamil Nadu wind energy project in India, we were looking at building a wind energy farm that would be capable of generating 300 MW of power, when fully completed. As demands for energy grow coupled with incentives from the Indian government I firmly believe that we will increase our production targets considerably for the Tamil Nadu wind farm. With a current identified capacity of over 65,000 MW of wind power generation, and only 10,243 MW actually developed thus far in 2009, the potential our new wind power farm development is enormous."
Seakinetics is in the business of designing, developing, marketing and investing in innovative technologies and services in the renewable energy field. Seakinetics' mission is to be an industry leader in finding solutions for renewable energy today and tomorrow.

Forming a Company under section 25 of the Companies Act in India is forming another NGO for extracted maximum benefits for the purpose of taxation & other facilities which a normal Private limited Company will not be able to enjoy.
The business of use of renewable energy itself is one which the Government encourage & to add to the business with tag of social welfare or charities will be well taken by all government authorities in future.
The fact the trust members/promoters of the section 25 company should be minimum three in number which are usually all the family member of a family will not require big setup for this form of NGO, at the same time all the trust member of the section 25 company will be its employees holding various post & no need for sharing any dividend to its members, thus fulfilling the conditions of section 25 of the Companies Act but still making money out of the business as well enjoying other benefits such as tax etc.
You will be requiring services of an advocate for drafting as well declaring that, the memorandum and articles of association drawn up in conformity with the provisions of the Act and the rules made thereunder have been duly complied with, in respect of registration or matters incidental or supplementary thereto.
ITS NOT THAT WE ARE IGNORING IT. THE COST INCURRED IN SETTING UP OF THESE PROJECTS IS VERY HIGH. RENEWABLE SOURCES ARE BEING TAPPED WHERE EVER POSSIBLE EG. IN TAMILNADU WIND MILLS ARE SET UP WHICH PRODUCES ELECTRICITY AND THE GUJARAT GOVERNMENT HAS JUST APPROVED A PROJECT FOR THE TAPPING OF SOLAR ENERGY .
it means that it ain’t happening in india anytime soon prolly due to circumstances such as no one is educated about it there or they just don’t have the money
The one answer you got is typical of a so called conservative. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.Well our energy program is broke, and it need fixing.I won’t care if there was a wind generator on ever block in the united states if it would get us away from fossil fuel.Isn’t it amazing how the auto companies are falling in line with their electric models and hybrids. There excuse has been that the public just wasn’t ready for them. How do you know if you don’t offer them. The big three has been in bed with big oil for years. They are beginning to see the writing on the wall and hopefully will continue to build better models.
Try entering the term: “Permaculture” into the WebFerret search engine and the Wikipedia and Google websites. View:(http://www.barefootcollege.org/). Also see “solar cookers” at Wikipedia and Google – cheap ones can be made from papier mache (strips of paper, dipped in a flour/water mix and crisscrossed over a parabolic fibreglass, plastic or metal mould which has been coated with fat or oil to make removal easier, dried, coated with glue on the inside and then covered with aluminium foil) – they need to be made larger than the commercially available ones and both types need to track the sun, but even when cloudy, they can still pre-heat food so it requires less fuel to cook. Please disseminate (spread) this information widely, and ask others to do the same, so the information helps as many people as possible!
What du u mean by renewable energy is still a mith in india?
can u name the best site to find the renewable energy resources development in india?
Renewable energy in India?
Why indian politicians are not realizing that we need a renewable energy resource to fulfill our daily energy demand. Rivers are drying, water resources are shrinking day by day and still we are not taking any big leap to ensure our future is not in dark.
What is the advantage of setting up a Sec-25 Co. versus a Pvt. Ltd. Co. for renewable energy in India?
We want to set up a renewable energy business in India that deals with manufacturing and distribution of products in this domain and also has a consulting front-end to advise clients on suitable energy conservation strategies. Is it better to set up a Section 25 company instead of a private limited company for this purpose? If so, why?
India has formed a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, are Western countries following suit?
