Making Small Electric Generator - Check This Right Now !
Author: Jason Gilford
The majority of people purchase the electricity they use from the power company; they then pay their monthly bills and at the same time watch their bank account decreasing for such a household staple. However, there are the lucky (or smart) ones who found an excellent alternative; they didn't want to be saddled with all those bills - they discovered a way of generating their own power - as much as they want - that would last for a lifetime.
So while investigating more about making a small electric generator please note that it is indeed possible for you to start generating your own power; in just a few short days, you can start enjoying your new, no-cost power supply - don't you want to join the free energy club? I guess that by now you are already full of curiosity as to what this all entails; well all this can be achieved by taking advantage of the earth's natural power suppliers - the wind and the sun. Do you know that it's possible for anybody to construct a personal energy generator using sun and wind power in just few days on their own property?
Even if it happens to be that you are in the middle of a web research on making a small electric generator understand that it is both easy and inexpensive to build your own power supply system that will save you big money right away and for the rest of your life. This might sound like a very difficult and very costly process; that may have been the case a few years ago, but not now - the good news is that a leading specialist in the fast-growing field of wind and solar power has streamlined the process to let everyone reap the rewards.

How I can run small petrol electric generator from natural gas at home?
I want to run my petrol electric generator from Natural gas to minimize fuel cost.
This is a great idea, and allows co-generation.
Cheap generators don’t generally last long. Nice natural gas units cost thousands of dollars.
Co-generation is using the heat from the generator to do other tasks, like heating your home and/or hot water, giving great overall efficiencies.
I think eventually this will be commonly done, but not very economical right now.
Short term, Numbat is correct that fixing the carb should be enough to run the generator on natural gas. Google for other sources on natural gas in internal combustion engines for more info.
By the way, by code you cannot just hook the generator up to your house wiring. You have to get and wire in “approved isolation means” or a manual transfer switch to assure that you do not send power out to the power company, for safety reasons. You may also be required to notify your power company, which may require a seperate meter if you try to sell power back to them.
How can i make a very small, simple, homemade generator powered by a small electric motor.?
I know i need magnet and copper wire, but how much? what kind? this must be small so the motor can spin it. the plan is to have it power a bulb. it is being powered by a aprox. 1 inch long electric motor.
where can i get a small electric generator that only produces about 5volts?
Go to a hobbies store and ask them.
.
Radio Shack ! or try to Google it…. plenty of online places.
Is there any small (about a car engine sized) electric generator that is capable for me to use something high?
I want to use an iron, a pc, several handphone chargers, laptop adaptors, a water heater, and some lights. is there any capable power generator?
Judging from the loads listed, if you are careful with loading on the generator you could get by easily with a 5kW generator.
If you are serious about doing this properly and safely, install a proper transfer panel. You may be able to add a few extra circuits and connection could be as easy as throwing a switch.
Read through my home generator page for ideas.

I see a problem. You are using 60Amps to power a fuel cell. You are using the fuel cell to yield H2. You are using the H2 to fuel a gas engine. You are using a gas engine to make electricity? Isn’t that what you started with? 60 Amps of power will not yeild more power out the other end of your process. You are losing. Why would any one invest in that? Where did the original 60 amps come from?
Lets start over. you have 60 amps of power now. You store that power in the form of H2. You later (when you don’t have 60 amps but need power) run the H2 in your generator to get what ever power you need. H2 is not the source of power. Its the means of storing power. If your using solar panels, this is one method of storing power for later use or converting power into H2 for use in a car as a replacement for expensive gas. The process of cracking water with electricity is more than a century old. You have not discovered anything new. And yes it is well documented that it will run in most gas engines with no trouble however you will need to change timing to top dead center in your engine. The flame speed of H2 is much faster then gas or LPG. So you don’t need timing set 5 degrees before top dead center. You get better performance if you adjust timing to tdc.
Every one else has already figured this out. Your coming to the party a little late. H2 is not really a source of power but rather a means of storing power. So unless you drill a well and strike H2 instead of oil, your idea is not effecient enough to ever be profitable. However not to make you feel bad lots of people have been working on this for well over a hundred years. Im one of them. Yes 60 amps will produce H2. So will 10 mAmps. So will 6. Infact I’ve seen it done by my 7th grade science teacher with a dry cell battery. And yes he lit it up when he was done. Made a great pop sound. So we go back to the original question. What is your original source of power?
Not to burst your bubble further but any one can do this with off the shelf parts. So what makes yours so special?
I”m a member of the american hydrogen association. Perhaps you should contact me some time and I’ll save you some trouble. I get the impression your very new to this. No point reinventing the wheel.
I need funding for the development of a small hydrogen electric generator. please help???
The electric generator works by running it on hydrogen. I have done the research on hydrogen and have done practical experiments. Now I need funding to make this idea a product and be able to sell it. I have no company. I am doing it solo.
No, this is no joke.
I have made a prototype hydrogen fuel-cell that gives me 2 Liters of gas per minute running at 60Amps. The funding will be used for developing a new type of electric generator that would give me about 8Killowatts of electricity (if not more). Which is more than enough.
This concept will work as it has been bench tested on existing LPG (LP GAS) generators and run without any problems.
Thanks.
