Lease Your Solar Panels For a Fraction of the Cost

Author: Tina Metcalf

This may be the best way to go solar for everyone. Lease your solar panels, no money down, and they will be installed for free!

Instead of any large up front cost, leasing your solar panels might be the best solution for a lot of people. Generally there is no purchase price on either the panels themselves, or the installation to get them on your roof. All you would do is pay a set fee every month to have them there, just like you would do if you were leasing something, like say, a truck or an an automobile.

The company that installs your panels will charge you a set price for 10 or 15 years worth of service, and during that time, they will handle all maintenance and repairs if needed. You will still pay your electric bill, but with the solar panels generating electricity on your roof, your bill will be much lower. And if the panels produce more power than you use, it gets fed back into the grid, and the electric company pays you!

Most people realize a savings of 10 to 20% over the life of their solar panels, and when the lease is up, you have the option to pay off the value of the panels. After that point, with the panels still generating power, you may not have an electric bill anymore.

These leasing arrangements are cropping up all over the US, and your local solar provider or even your hometown electric company should be called to find out if this program is available in your area.

This might be a terrific way to defer the cost of pollution free solar energy and get it done now.

Examples of Solar Energy in Australia?
Hi, I need some help for my science homework. Is there any examples of big solar places or like a website that has some information. I need to have an example of solar energy in Australia. Also, does anyone know the percentage of people (in Australia) that use solar energy? Thanks!

What if australia depended on solar energy?
If australia began to use only solar energy to power the country, what do you think would happen? Also, what would happen to the other energy sources we are currently using and all the power lines? And how would we be able to make sure that important buildings like hospitals always have power?
Please answer, best question gets full points.

How much solar energy is Australia currently using?
Hey, I would just like to know this. It would be very helpful for the assignment I am doing. If you can give me a percentage chart that shows what sort of energy Australia uses, that would be fantastic ;)

Without solar energy there would most likely be no life on Earth let alone Australia.

There is an argument that all energy except geothermal and nuclear derives from our Solar source.

As Australia is closer to the ozone depleated South Pole the sunlight there is more intense than in other places in the world. As a result skin cancer rates can be expected to be higher.

You might wish to narrow your question a bit.

Any alternative energy source that is ‘intermittent’ solar or wind will be built with a storage mechanism, so that when the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing, you will still have power. If a country were to rely fully on a technology like solar, they would set it up so that while the sun is shining, they would produce much more energy than they need. They would store the rest of the energy using technologies such as molten salt storage, creating hydrogen through electrolysis of water, or just simple batteries.

Likely, a country will never rely fully on one source of energy like this.

You cannot make solar energy, the sun makes this. You mean switch to solar power. The switch may be expensive but will pay for itself in time both financially and ecologically. You are better off switching anyway with all of the fuel and electricity going up. based on these sites, it shows that it this is inexpensive. http://www.seco.cpa.state.tx.us/re_solar_news.htm
