can i live underground comfortably?
i think america is going to crash and burn….if you have read the hunger games i think the world will get like that with this nwo and all the secret societys. but if you have read it i want something like district 13
but ANYWAY…
An underground house…to be comfortable in, is it possible to live underground? if so how would i reinforce the walls? ventilation? insulation? an escape route? how do i know it wont collapse? i want to live in the mountains underground.
is plumbing possible underground? like a normal toilet? and sink? shower? how can i do sewage and plumbing WITHOUT using the government for anything?
I want to know if personal energy was possible? …like solar energy so i wont have to depend on the energy company. I remember years ago there was this little thing that you left it in the sun for a day then the nest day you could plug in your computers or cell phones. I guess i mean like a solar powered generator maybe? one that has enough power for a 2 bedroom apartment…im talking water hating, a stove, microwave, refridgerator/freezer computer, possibly a TV and DVD, lights…anll of the normal thing in a 2 bedroom apartment.
i want one of those scope things so i could see what was above ground.
I know it sounds crazy but i had a dream about it

How do I use my gas-powered generator for electricity for my backyard workshop?
The building was originally wired for electricity. No simple way exists to run a power line from the house to the workshop, which we moved to its present location a year ago. What I want to do is attach my 5,000-watt generator to the wiring in the building (small: 16X20). Currently we run extension cords outside to the generator. Obviously the generator would remain outside, but with the building wired to it instead of extension cords through the doors and windows. Thanks for your help and advice on doing this.
I am assuming your generator has circuit breakers to prevent overloads and is 240/120 volt with a 4 wire 240/120 volt receptacle on it. And that your shop has a 240/120 service panel in it. If I am wrong, disreguard this answer and give more details.
Hard wire your workshop panel to a non fused 30 amp 2 pole disconnect box mounted outside the shop using #10 wire, 4 conductors. Wire a #10-4 SO cord from the disconnect to a plug that fits into your generator.

A generator is a mechanical device used to produce electrical current flow.
A magnetic assembly is spun by an outside force (such as steam or water flow or windmill) inside coils of wire. Also, coils of wire can be spun inside a magnetic field.
In both cases, electrons react by being repelled when passing a negative pole, and at attracted back by passing positive poles, producing an alternating electric current in the wire.
That is it, in a nutshell!
You need to know the total load of all of the equipment (in watts), then you need a very quiet generator, sized at about 120% of the total required load.
The extension cords will need to be pretty long, in order to keep the generator far enough away from the band. That means they will need to be at least #12 or #10 AWG UL listed cords (and, they cannot be plugged into each other; extension cords are not listed to be joined together) with the male ground plug not broken off or removed.
Due to the (lack of) grounding requirements for portable generators, you will get a lot of “noise” from this type of set up. The “surging” of the generator may damage any sensitive electronic gear (such as amplifiers and mixing boards); the band may not be willing to risk this.
If the location you are having your reception at has no outdoor electricity available for you to use; see if they will let you pay the local utility company for a temporary drop to a temporary meter (with a sufficient number GFCI protected receptacles – you will probably need a temporary type 3-R panel, also). Have a qualified licensed electrician install the meter pedestal, and make sure that he provides two ground rods at least 6′ apart and at least 8′ long.
It sounds like a lot of trouble to go through, but there won’t be any noise from the generator for the band to compete with, no one will spill gasoline on their tux while refueling the generator, you may also avoid another annoyance – a fire from gasoline spilled on a hot generator, and you won’t have to worry about any damage to the band’s equipment. (You will also enjoy your reception more; and, if you are videotaping it, you will enjoy watching the video much more without that aggravating generator in the background.)
